    The Solution of Incompatible Cartridge Error for HP Inkjet Printers

    When the HP printer reports "Incompatible Cartridges", it means we've installed the unsupported cartridge.

    Now, we would like to teach you how to check the supported cartridge model in your printer.

     

    I Via the Printer Status Report


    II Via the printer's control panel

    ① Click "Hide" button in the warning notice and return to the printer's main interface.


    ② Click the "Estimated Cartridge Levels" option.



    ③Choose the indicated color.


    ④The installed ink cartridge is not supported by the printer.


    ※When installed ink cartridge belongs to another series consumable, printer will fail to display the cartridge model in this interface.

    The above solution applies to HP 90, 95 or 97 series ink cartridges and printers.

    From the table, we can find that the third number in the ink cartridge model represents the region. "2" means the North America, "3" means Europe, "4" means the South America, and "5" means Asia Pacific.
